Baker Donelson Attorneys Steve Hall and Bob Brazier filed Exhibit 13 along with 28 other exhibits in Judge Craig Schwall’s Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia, on July 11, 2014. These exhibits show tortious interference, collusion, wrongful possession and defamation on the part of these three defendants.

Emory University and Emory health Care, Inc. are implicated and accused of the same charges; however, that case is being heard in the Superior Court of DeKalb County After this hearing Judge Schwall ruled making the way clear for Manny Fialkow’w Premium Finance Solutions, Inc. to file a dispossessory motion on behalf of defendants Fialkow, Central Atlanta Progress and Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, Inc. These three defendants, the order states, face 8 claims that should be heard before a jury of their peers. Judge Schwall’s order affirms Special Master Frank Strickland’s 17 page order that recommends this lawsuit go to trial. You won’t read this in Rhonda Cook’s front-page AJC piece that tells only of the clearance for the dispossessory motion. Rhonda Cook reports as usual only the party line. That shoddy kind of reporting requires neither research nor the whole truth.

Manny Fialkow’s Premium Funding Solutions and AJ Robinson’s Central Atlanta Progress and Atlanta Downtown Improvement District are defendants in this lawsuit. Exhibit 13 features these two conspirators plus a third collaborator named Michael Dinerman. Dinerman is not a defendant; however, he’s all over the subpoenaed documents as a collaborating conspirator. If Manny comes, can Dinny be far behind? Baker Donelson attorneys have entitled Exhibit 13 “Dinerman-Fialkow email.” The 3 e-mails are quoted verbatim in the order in which they were written.

Manny,
I know most everyone is sitting on their hands right now. I thought I might take a shot if this might interest you or someone you know? There are some adjacent properties that could be assembled to put together half the city block.

Put the Nun-run Mercy Housing, Inc. and Mercy Loan, Inc. and Manny Fialkow and AJ Robinson in the same mix, a brew comes out that makes Shakespeare’s witches’ brew tame and appealing.

Next Sunday, February 2, 2014, Super Bowl XLVIII (48) will be played at the Metlife Stadium in the Meadowlands of New Jersey. This stadium is the home field of the New York Giants. Some people believe that the late Teamster Jimmy Hoffa is buried in concrete in one of the end zones. This playing field is not too far from the much talked about George Washington Bridge that spans the mighty Hudson River. Weather vultures are speaking of a blizzard for that day; other media goons are talking traffic snarls.

Residents of the Peachtree Pine Community watch with great interest all Super Bowls. Some 300 plus homeless African American men at Peachtree Pine watched Super Bowl XLV (45) played on Sunday, February 6, 2011. Few of those men remember who won that game or where it was played. However, many of them remember a sermon preached that day at All Saints Episcopal Church at the corner of North Avenue and West Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia. The sermon was delivered on Super Bowl Sunday, February 6, 2011. It carries the title, “Doing Justice,” and it was delivered by All Saints’ CEO, Rector Geoffrey Hoare, that’s Hoare with an “H.” All Saints Episcopal Church’s website published Rector Hoare’s diatribe. I assume the sermon can be read still. It may have been removed.

My blog drjimbeaty.wordpress.com posted a response to some of the Hoare lies about Peachtree-Pine Community on March 23, 2011. The men who live now at the Peachtree-Pine Community watch like Jeremiah’s almond tree in chapter one to see if Rector Hoare might give a repeat performance next Sunday, Super Bowl XLVIII (48). The men who polish the floors and clean the toilets and showers and scrub the sinks and empty the trash and case manage hundreds of women and children weekly want to know if he will say again that we live there in squalor and that their living quarters are filthy and unkempt. Hoare stated that the place is unsafe and dangerous. He’s right about that: that’s true some of the time of the outside, not inside, where drug dealers and pimps and whores, (that’s whores with a “W”) operate most of the time without any police interference. Our security volunteers say that for every Atlanta Police arrest there are fifteen drug deals in the open broad light of the day.

But one long block away, down the street at Renaissance Park there are no such shenanigans now because the neighbors around that park have DEMANDED that all drug users and dealers and prostitutes and pimps be arrested. The Community at Peachtree Pine has no such protection. I’ll bet a six pack of RC Cola that Woodruff Park and The Hurt, home of Central Atlanta Progress and ADID IT has that protection. Another six pack says that CEO Hoare’s business has police protection, business community protection, Peachtree Corridor Churches’ protection, Chamber of Commerce protection, United Way protection, Atlanta Regional Council protection, Atlanta City Council Protection, the Mayor’s Innovation Delivery Team protection and Farmers’ Insurance protection. One must ponder if Rector Hoare has the protection of THE EVERLASTING ARMS.

Read my March 23, 2011 piece and Hoare’s February 6, 2011, sermon preached from a Christian pulpit in an Episcopal church. Then wait for Super Bowl sermon next Sunday to see if Cicero delivers again.

On the seventh day of Christmas

A.J. “We’re all kind of mystified “ Robinson sent to me

Seven worms a squirming

Six vats of Kool Ade

Five golden necklaces

Four fingers shooting the bird

Three bogus letters signed Greg Pridgeon

Two Innovation Delivery Team members

And a family living in a pear tree.

Note:  While many readers are enjoying the Christmas cheer in my recent pieces, they are at the same time wondering who are these people and what is the significance of their various gifts sent to “me.”  Following the Twelfth Day of Christmas, I’ll publish a glossary explaining the names, their middle names and the significance of their gifts.  For today’s Seventh Day of Christmas, I will say that A. J. Robinson is the top man at the downtown “muscle” called Central Atlanta Progress.  The late Dan Sweat, while he was president of Central Atlanta Progress, and I shared the podium at the Buckhead based Atlanta Junior League.  Imagine that!  During a friendly conversation before we spoke, Dan said to me that mayors of Atlanta come and go, but CAP remains constant.  His expression told me precisely what he meant.

Robinson was deposed twice in the ongoing law suits against the City, CAP, etc.  I was present for one of his grillings.  I have a garden that today boasts thriving arugula, Swiss chard, kale, lettuce, totsoi and collards.  I buy earth worms from TRULY LIVING WELL on Hilliard Street in downtown Atlanta.  The worms squirm vigorously whenever they are exposed to the light.  The light makes them dig into the dirt for cover.  I have read thousands of pages of TEAM GOLIATH depositions:  Debi Starnes, Richard Orr, Horace Sibley, Shirley Franklin to name a few.  What these leaders of our city said under oath brings to mind my garden.

Naboth’s Peachtree Pine

October 26, 2011

I Kings 21:1-20 (New International Version from THE HEBREW BIBLE)

Some time later there was an incident involving a vineyard belonging to Naboth the Jezreelite. The vineyard was in Jezreel, close to the palace of Ahab King of Samaria. Ahab said to Naboth, “Let me have your vineyard to use for a vegetable garden, since it is close to my palace. In exchange I will give you a better vineyard or, if you prefer, I will pay you whatever it is worth.”

But Naboth replied, “The Lord forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my fathers.”
So Ahab went home sullen and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had said, “I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” He lay on his bed sulking and refused to eat. His wife Jezebel came in and asked him, “Why are you so sullen? Why won’t you eat?”

He answered her, “Because I said to Naboth the Jezreelite, ‘Sell me your vineyard ; or if you prefer, I will give you another vineyard in its place.’ But he said, ‘I will not give you my vineyard.’” Jezebel his wife said, “Is this how you act as king over Israel? Get up and eat. Cheer up. I’ll get you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, placed his seal on them, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city with him. In those letters she wrote: “Proclaim a day of fasting and seat Naboth in a prominent place among the people. But seat two scoundrels opposite him and have them testify that he has cursed both God and the king. Then take him out and stone him to death.”

So the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city did as Jezebel directed in the letters she had written to them. They proclaimed a fast and seated Naboth in a prominent place among the people. Then two scoundrels came and sat opposite him and brought charges against Naboth before the people, saying, “Naboth has cursed both God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death. Then they sent word to Jezebel: “Naboth has been stoned and is dead.”

As soon as Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab, “Get up and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite that he refused to sell you. He is no longer alive, but dead.” When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, he got up and went down to take possession of Naboth’s vineyard.

Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite: “Go down to meet Ahab king of Israel who rules in Samaria. He is now in Naboth’s vineyard, where he has gone to take possession of it. Say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: In the place of where dogs licked up Naboth’s blood, dogs will lick up your blood – – yes, yours!”

Comment: The similarities between the conspiracy to steal Naboth’s vineyard and TEAM GOLIATH’S conspiracy to steal Peachtree Pine are myriad. Imagine a modern play with a cast chosen from the members of TEAM GOLIATH. Who from among those players would have the part of King Ahab? The Hebrew Bible describes him as “sullen” and “angry” and “sulken” and “refused to eat” when he couldn’t take what he wanted.

Who from the mighty Atlanta TEAM GOLIATH would play King Ahab, one of Israel’s most atrocious rulers? Who is the king of Atlanta’s TEAM GOLIATH? Could it be Jack Hardin, one of the chairs of United Way’s Regional Commission, who reports to have beds ready for all the men who will be leaving Peachtree Pine? Could King Ahab be played by Horace Sibley who ended “homelessness” in downtown Atlanta as we know “homelessness”? Where is Horace? Have they found him? Perhaps he is looking for his computer at Georgia Tech.

Where does A. J. Robinson fit in the TEAM GOLIATH hierarchy? Is he coaching the Mayor on how to handle Troy Davis Park. It’s difficult to guess who might play the part of King Ahab.

And what about Jezebel? Not so fast, do not answer the obvious. Debi Starnes might not be the only candidate for that part? Don’t forget Queen Shirley Franklin of the golden locks. Those tresses now do the bidding of privatizing everything for the Cousins Empire. And don’t forget the HUD darling, Dr. Renee Glover. Has she fallen out of favor with our Mayor? Can’t find Horace! Can’t find Debi! Can’t find Renee!

Several other women could play Jezebel. There’s the warm Peggy Denby. Or Roman Catholic Nun Jane Garety of Mercy Housing might do. Her e-mail to a fellow worker at the nun-run Mercy Housing, Inc. boasted that Cap and the City of Atlanta would be in the debt of the Nuns when they joined Manny Fialkow in foreclosing on The Pine. Don’t forget the congenial Amy Zaremba of Gateway fame. Any one of these beauties could dream schemes to steal a little vineyard.

The letter writers could be chosen from dozens of the GOLIATHITES. Those thousands of e-mail court documents qualify many as letter writers. Greg Pridgeon could play the letter writer. He signed the three annual letters that blocked City funding after Atlanta’s Grants Management Office had approved Task Force funding. King Ahab had a seal that Jezebel used on her letters falsely accusing Naboth. Mayor Franklin had a seal that Starnes used to murder Peachtree Pine.

Vince “in a godly manner” Smith certainly qualifies as a letter writer. One pleasant day months ago two Task Force board members, Carl Hartrampf and Chuck Steffen, led a tour of Peachtree Pine that included Rev. Vince “fortnight” Smith and an official from Atlanta United Way. Hours later Smith “in a godly manner” emailed his buddies of the deplorable conditions at Peachtree Pine. He mentioned something about his heart breaking for the men there. Then there is Rector “Super Bowl” Hoar who from his Episcopal aerie bore false witness of the “squalid” Peachtree Pine. That truth teller could write the letters to the Elders and Nobles and Scoundrels invited to the table, Naboth’s death table.

The biblical account of the murder of Naboth has only two “scoundrels” present at the table. TEAM GOLIATH beats that number by scores. Legions have lined up to falsely accuse The Pine and The Task Force for the Homeless. Just last weekend Dr. Chuck Steffen had to point out to AJC reporter Christian Boone that he had reported only HALF the truth concerning mishandling of funds. What Boone did was to quote his own article written years ago with reporter, Willoughby Mariano. Imagine a writer using himself as his source and the source being inaccurate all the while. Booth introduces the subject of mishandling money. But he fails to mention that a HUD investigation resulted in a HUD official saying that not one cent of millions of dollars had been mishandled. Right on AJC. And this is the investigative reporting the Narrow uses to advertise itself? Thank you Christian Boone. We have had reason to believe better of Boone. Oh, well! The list of people who could play the scoundrels in our play is endless.

Naboth was stoned to death. His property was given by King Ahab. That’s what Kings do. The elders and nobles concurred.

The powers and principalities of Atlanta will use a bottom feeding developer working hand in hand with nuns and doers of all good like United Way and makers of policy like The Chamber and lights in the community like Central Atlanta Progress to evict 700 predominantly Black homeless men from their home on sacred Peachtree. That’s what kings do as the elders and nobles give silent consent.

Incidentally, friends in Europe as I write this are watching on YouTube Atlanta Police (part of the 99%) arrest demonstrators on the night of October 25, 2011. Join me in being a proud Atlantan. And as Reverend Joseph Lowery says, “And the beat goes on.” Do I hear dogs barking?

The prestigious AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION JOURNAL is read by half of America’s 1,000,000 lawyers. The May 2011 edition features the article entitled, “Battle of Atlanta: Fight over a downtown Homeless Shelter Strains Some Down-Home Ties.” Please google, if you will, American Bar Association Journal for the article if you wish to read the exposure of TEAM GOLIATH’s conspiracy to shut down and take the property known as The Peachtree-Pine Community. This is the City/CAP 15 year effort to cleanse downtown of poor African-American men. Also available in the article is a videotaped clip of A. J. Robinson’s deposition on February 23, 2010. Viewing that clip is worth the price of admission.

The article touches on different phases of the city/corporate conspiracy to disappear both homeless men and Peachtree-Pine from downtown Atlanta. A Who’s Who of racketeers could not have better covered the plot. Some of TEAM GOLIATH’s key players in this fifteen-year plan are named, even quoted. Even Rufus Terrill’s BUMBOT made this article. The article mentions The Czar of Homelessness, Debi Starnes. It quotes Jack Hardin, lawyer, board chair of United Way and former friend of the Task Force. Hardin once told a Task Force Board member that the Commission To End Homelessness had “created a train wreck.” Read for Hardin’s quote regarding Attorney Steve Hall’s drinking Kool-Ade.

Note what Judge Craig Schwall, Jr. said to TEAM GOLIATH lawyers about his court room.

Read about Manny “Do you smell a fault?” Fialkow and how his lawyers attempt to defend this “does not smell good” developer. Read about the HUD Complaint filed against the City of Atlanta. Note please that this HUD is Washington HUD, not Atlanta HUD which I name in my writings, Atlanta City Hall West. I’ve called Atlanta HUD “HUD Lights” for years. Atlanta HUD is a member of the same club as Atlanta City Hall, Central Atlanta Progress and the entire good ole boy buddy system that fouls the air downtown.

Who among us on the limp, weak, voiceless, impotent Team David would have dreamed that A. J. Robinson would be viewed by 500,000 lawyers from coast to coast of our great land. That tower of strength and his cronies have never been deposed. They have never been subpoenaed. They have never been questioned. They spent a whole day at City Hall and complained to Lisa Borders that that took too long to stop a measly $100,000 funding to Peachtree-Pine. They have spent a lifetime putting Black people in their place, out of corporate Atlanta’s space.

Now Robinson and his pals stand accused in a RICO lawsuit, civil and criminal charges. Alongside these conspirators stands the City of Atlanta in a Civil suit in Federal Court accusing it of the violation of the civil rights of the seven protected classes who live at The Pine. The tortious interference accusation raises its head hundreds of times in subpoenaed documents. For starters the City finagled the stopping of funds in the Tri-jurisdictional Continuum of Care through the work of Czar Starnes, Horace Sibley and Richard Orr of CAP. The Tri-J joke recommends to HUD who gets funded. Twenty-two million dollars ($22,000,000) of funding has been stopped, blocked or withheld over the last three years. There are no regularly paid employees now at The Pine; there were 28 full-time employees four years ago. Most of the support services for the 600 men continue daily. Forty-two churches faithfully still feed the men, and the residents of The Pine volunteer their time and talents.

The Battle of Atlanta could and should be called “THE MIRACLE OF ATLANTA.” How a tiny, maligned agency for JUSTICE could have withstood the onslaught of INJUSTICE waged by power moguls such as Tom Cousins, Jack Hardin, Rector Hoare, Brad Curry, Jimmy Williams, A. J. Robinson and that CLUB is explained ONLY as a miracle. Those of us dodging the gunfire ask how are we still standing.

The last time I checked, David was twirling his sling shot. His smooth stones total five.

Jeremiah 22.16

In an attempt to defend the City of Atlanta against charges of tortuous interference, collusion, corruption, racketeering, false claims, violations of protected classes’ civil rights and sundry other crimes, city lawyers on Thursday, April 7, deposed Pete Walker, former head of Mercy Housing, Inc. Southeast. One of the many mountains the City must climb is to dissociate itself from some of its fellow conspirators. The City wants to distance itself from Mercy Housing, Inc. who sold $900,000 worth of notes to Ichthus, Inc. the highly suspect “company” creation by the deeply-tainted Atlanta developer, Manny”Do you smell a fault?” Fialkow.

Mercy Housing, Inc. and its twin sister Mercy Loan, Inc. chose to receive $700,000 to $900,000 from Ichthus, Inc. rather than from Central Atlanta Progress. For some reason the nun-run Mercy must have believed that the Las Vegas created, “Christian” Ichthus, Inc. was the less of the two evils. How Manny “Do you smell a fault?” Fialkow could have dirtied the nuns’ linens less than A. J. Robinson’s CAP, no one knows.

And no one on the little David side knows the exact amount of $$$ the nuns received, thus my stating above “$700,000 to $900,000.” And another question asks did the nearly one million dollar payment come from Manny Fialkow personally or did that money come from the deep pockets along Peachtree, those honorable business interests that form the corridor from the gold dome to the coffers of Buckhead. Cousins Properties, Inc. comes to mind. Hallowed Coca Cola comes to mind. Emory Health Care, Inc. lifts its head. Notes on somebody’s pad at Mercy wrote that one million was available in a day.

Pete Walker no longer works for the nuns. He is currently the top man at DeKalb Housing Authority. I believe that the City of Atlanta wants to remove itself from the fraudulently taking of the Peachtree-Pine Building. And to do this the City brought in a thoroughly coached Walker who appears in e-mails from the key conspirators, A. J. Robinson, Horace Sibley and Debi Starnes.

Baker Donelson Attorneys Steve Hall and Bob Brazier prohibit my writing about a deposition before that deposition has been “made public.” There are many valid reasons for this prohibition, and I honor the reasons and these capable attorneys.

On the other hand, when the Baker Donelson attorneys receive the documents after they have been filed, I am free to “write them across the sky.” For example, I know what Pete Walker said April 7, 2011, UNDER OATH, but I cannot speak of it or write about it. I have to wait until I get that green light. The pitch count so often against these court jesters is three balls, no strikes. I cannot swing for the fences until I’m given the green light by my third base coach, Attorney Steve Hall. Then the fences move in like MacBeth’s Birnam wood. TEAM GOLIATH’s tasteless atrocities bring in the fences.

I cannot quote Walker yet; however, I have two full depositions with Debi “not on top” Starnes’ answers. Read the following lines to determine if The City was joined at the hip to the nuns.
The questions and answers are lifted from Debi “not on top” Starnes’ deposition taken on September 2, 2009. Steve Halls’ questions begin on page 166, line 18.

Hall: So your recollection of the events is that you went and saw Pete Walker. He’d gone so far as to have a mockup or a drawing of the building, a picture of the building that he wanted to build.

Starnes: Uh-huh.

Hall: And then you thought it was a great project.

Starnes: Uh-huh.

Hall: And then you went back, and when you heard about it from Ms. Glover in this e-mail, you said that basically the City and the Atlanta Housing Authority need to leverage Mercy into this by saying that the project does not go forward if the shelter stays. True or false?

Starnes: I don’t know what you mean “leverage Mercy into this.”

Hall: It’s your word.

Starnes: No: but – – no, you just – – you made up a whole new sentence.

Hall: “I believe Mercy needs the leverage of the City and AHA saying, No, if the shelter stays.”

Starnes: Right.

Hall: Okay. So you had seen the project, you liked the project; but you did not – – you were not going to allow – – you were going to get the City and AHA to say no to the project if the shelter stayed.

Starnes: That’s not my memory, no.

Hall: That’s what you wanted to happen.

Starnes: No. My advice, which I have said to you multiple times, is that nobody, Mercy or no one, would be successful at putting housing on top of hundreds of people in a mismanaged shelter.

Hall: Do you know – –

Starnes: I wouldn’t advise anyone to put housing on top of Gateway either. It’s an odd concept.

Hall: Is that because Gateway is mismanaged?

Starnes: No. It’s too many people in one location.

Hall: Okay. So you wouldn’t put it on top of any shelter.

Starnes: Of that many people, no.

Hall: Are you aware of other cities that are doing it? Seattle?

Starnes: No.

Hall: You’re a Ph.D. in these types of studies. You’re not aware of any other cities doing this?

Starnes: No.

Hall: What did you do to research how this type of proposal had worked in other cities before suggesting that the – –

Starnes: No research.

Hall: – – City and Atlanta should leverage our partner, the Task Force partner, into not doing something? You didn’t do anything?

Starnes: (Shakes head negatively)

The tight connection between the City of Atlanta and Mercy is exposed by its relationship with individuals throughout the conspiracy. Sister Jane Gerety in an e-mail to Diane Leavesley, then the top dog of Mercy Loan, Inc. states that Horace Sibley assured Gerety that the City and downtown Atlanta would be in huge debt to their organizations if Mercy put the Task Force in defauld. Sister Gerety wrote in another memo that having spoken with people in “the city” she had decided to pull the plug on negotiations between Mercy and The Pine. Lawyers on both sides have stacks of emails that have Mercy and the Ciy and A. J. Robinson all talking. The Ms. Glover in Starnes’ e-mail is the indomitable Renee Glover of the Atlanta Housing Authority. She’s HUD’s darling for having successfully rid Atlanta of those poorest of the poor who have been thrown out of public housing. What she has done is commendable, lovely housing for a few. What she and HUD have not done is damnable, blocked housing for the poorest of the poor. She promised NOT ON TOP to help block housing at The PINE. The plot thickens.

Note: The depositions of Shirley Franklin, CAP’s Dave Wardell, City’s Greg Pridgeon and Pete Walker have not been given me. Stay tuned. A reader from California told me that he searches Atlanta media daily for info on the lawsuits, to no avail. He understand; he lived in Atlanta.

What could be more appropriate than deposing two TEAM GOLIATH stooges on April 1, April Fool’s Day. At this moment, as I write for you, Attorney Steve Hall of the Baker Donelson Law firm is questioning Dave “Great news!” Wardell at the Troutman Sanders Law Firm. Wardell one of the muscles at Central Atlanta Progress earned his middle name when he responded to the Chief of Security at Georgia State University. Chief Mullins was so happy that homeless people would have no water, he had to tell Wardell. Wardell emailed for all the world to see, “Great news!” Wardell also headed Central Atlanta Progress’s program called “Wake Up Atlanta.” That program is now called, “Wake Up, Stay Up!” That is the program where Atlanta Police and Dave Wardell wake up homeless people who are sleeping on private property. Don’t let it be said that CAP doesn’t do anything for homeless people. They wake them up!

City of Atlanta’s goffer, Greg Pridgeon, three different years, 2007, 2008 and 2009 signed letters to DCA, the state’s Department of Community Affairs. The letters blocked funding each of those years. The letters came from Mayor Shirley Franklin’s office. The City’s Office of Grants Management all three years had given full approval for full funding to The Community at Peachtree-Pine. Pridgeon’s letters overroad that funding. Greg “bogus letter” Pridgeon is a pawn who may or may not have written the tortious interference letters. Starnes may have written them. It is not known if Pridgeon wrote the letters or if he could write them.

I will have the printed depositions in two weeks. I cannot wait to read “Great news!” What can he possibly say? But whatever he says, you’ll know because I’ll tell you. Don’t forget these community leaders are UNDER OATH, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god.

Remembering Debi Starnes

March 30, 2011

My recently published SACRED GRAMMAR is selling. It teaches the basics of grammar using verses from the Bible. It shows why, “I seen him when he done it.” is incorrect and how “I saw him when he did it.” is correct. My next book is PEE WEE, the true-life novel of South Carolina’s most notorious mass murderer, Donald Henry Gaskins. I interviewed Pee Wee 52 times in the South Carolina pen in Columbia. Charleston Attorney O. Grady Query introduced me to Gaskins years ago and furnished expertise on Gaskins having defended Pee Wee’s facing the death penalty. The State of South Carolina murdered Pee Wee in 1991 for his last murder of Rudolf Tyner. PEE WEE could be available by the end of the year.

Two other books in the making are FIFTY FAVORITES and PALACE POLITICS, TEMPLE THEOLOGY. FIFTY FAVORITES features my commentaries on 50 of my favorite poems that I have taught in English classes over the years. PALACE POLITICS,TEMPLE THEOLOGY is a comparison of ancient Jerusalem and current Atlanta as seen through the eyes of my favorite Hebrew prophet, Jeremiah of Anathoth.

Readers of my blogs have suggested that I publish my pieces as a book. I can’t imagine such as I blog only for my own sanity. However, I do want to publish DESPERATE DEPOSITIONS, a book featuring the explosive discovery that exposes the myriad of players on TEAM GOLIATH. The magnitude of this conspiracy has grown to such proportions that many books could follow. The sleaze of downtown Atlanta leadership grows as the clock ticks. This cancerous growth flourishes out of a fertile heap of greed, racism and exclusion.

I mention these books in order to feature the fragile Debi Starnes, clearly one of GOLIATH’S pawns. The words in her two depositions make the reader laugh, cry, chill, thrill, spill, gasp, grope and pray. A drinking man would. If I didn’t know her victims, I would be tempted to feel sorry for her. The following questions and answers from her September 02, 2009 deposition give an example of what will fill the book, DESPERATE DEPOSITIONS.

My title for this piece is, “Remembering Debi Starnes.” Relax, Debi Starnes is very much with us. Her emotional state wavers and her spiritual condition teeters, but like Virgil’s Rumor she refuels herself through her good work. She’s The Czar.

Hall: You said that Mr. Walker brought you a packet of papers.
Starnes: No, I didn’t. I said that when I met with him, he – – I don’t even remember. He probably had a picture, maybe gave me something. I don’t know if he did or didn’t. I don’t know if he just had big pictures of his project. I remember seeing a picture of what the project would look like, but I got no proposals, no application, nothing to review, that I recall at all. I remember no details other than a visual of what it would look like on upper floors of the building.
Hall: Ms. Starnes, have you ever been diagnosed with any type of mental problem that affects your ability to remember things?
Mr. Haymore: (City Attorney) Objection.
Starnes: Not formally diagnosed.
Hall: Are you taking any type of medication today?
Starnes: No.
Hall: Have you ever been cited or prosecuted for perjury?
Starnes: No.

Note: The “Mr. Walker” in Starnes’ answers is Pete Walker then employed by Mercy Housing, Inc. The project in the discussion is proposed mixed housing that was being discussed with The Pine. The $10,000,000 project would have provided mixed housing, possibly 180 units on top of the present structure known as Peachtree-Pine. Above I mentioned Starnes’ “victims.” Many of the African-American men living at The Pine would have qualified for that housing. Many elderly men living at The Pine would have qualified for that housing. Many of the disabled men living at The Pine would have qualified for that housing. Many African-American women and their children sent over to the Pine from The Gateway would have qualified for that housing.

Each of these groups of American citizens is a protected class, protected by federal and state laws from the Starnes and Sibleys and Rene Glovers and Manny Fialkows and A. J. Robinsons who conspire to vanish them from sight. The mixed housing that was blocked by Starnes and her fellow conspirators would have helped meet the City’s federal requirement to provide housing for the poor. The City, however, does not want to provide housing for certain people, certainly not on Peachtree Street.
